Finally able to have some time to blog here, like what you guys said, the final post.
Seriously, I dont want this to be the end of ALLORIX you know. Can this not be the final post? :/

Personally, I didnt enjoy orientation to my fullest. Okay read finish first, this is because I was sick since sunday and i'm in a stoning state since day 1 actually. Also, i thought i wasnt a good OG head. I hope that you guys will forgive me for all my shortcomings and imperfections.

Initially, I must admit that I felt quite lonely in Allorix actually. I dont know like 99% of you I think. In some way, i was a nobody also la. haha. but you guys made me the OG head in some way, and i told myself not to let you all down. i really hope i didnt! sorry if i just wasnt good enough. one regret i have, is that i didnt spend enough time with all my ogls and my very own sub-og.

I was caught by surprise when I received the news that ALLORIX EMERGED AS FIRST RUNNER UP FOR ORIENTATION OVERALL. gosh, i was really happy actually. although, yesyes, points do not really matter as long as you guys and the freshmen enjoyed themselves, but i'm sure this is like a bonus to all our efforts and of course, the freshmen's efforts too! well done ogls! you guys played a big part in it too! (:

Hello everyone,

Time really flies, doesn't it...

It seems only yesterday when I was working on the creation of this blog, late into the night.
But then, only yesterday, did I see the very existence of this very blog's purpose begin to dwine.

For months, we've been together.
For weeks, we've been working.
For days, we've been waiting.

And now, as the very purpose of some of us stepping into each other's lives is about to end, I just want to let everyone know that I am really thankful for this opportunity to meet each and every single one of you in Allorix. I really am...

You guys have been such an awesome bunch of people and all of you have made an impact in my life! Being in Allorix remains one of my most memoriable and enjoyable days of my life in VJ and it will probably be one of those fond memories which will remain with me for many many years to come.

As we walk towards the white dwarf that is about to consume our togetherness as a OG, I just want to say that no matter where, no matter how, I really hope I am able to work with all of you once again, someday.

I hope that all of you will find that some of our newfound friendships won't be a transient one. Probably not with each and every single OGL in Allorix, but perhaps, some new everlasting friends you've made while walking down this road down Orientation 2009. :)

Once again, it has been a real pleasure and a real honour working with each and every one of you.

Hey guys, last words regarding the grand walk-in.

EDITS
For the attire for the grand walk-in, it's now BLACK SHORTS + BLACK SHIRTS, instead of track pants.
This is due to the fact that some of us do not really have track pants or black long pants and also it'll be very troublesome to bring an extra pants since we're needed to bring much more other stuffs.

For those babysitters/people not involved in the walk-in, though it is not really necessary for you to bring black shirts, you can bring it just in case. Just in case some actors forgot to bring their black shirts. Just in case you're too sweaty and the end of the day and need to change into something new. Just in case we need extra calefare.

Not much edits, except for the music for Scene 3 Act 2, "The Family".
After some discussions, we found that the part is quite short, and hence we have decided to do away with the music.
For characters appearing in Scene 3 Act 2, the cue for the start of the act is the fading off of the previous music.
For characters appearing in Scene 4, the cue is the start of the new music.
People affected, please take note of this.

As you all know, the grand walk-in is just about 50+ hours away and we only had like just one training (cum brainstorming session); and the training was done when less than half of us are there.
So, for your convenience (and my inconvenience), I've done up a document featuring every action, every move, every expression that should be done during the walk-in.

You can access the document here.

So, what should you do after downloading it?

Print it out.
Look at your roles, and remember the codename.
(P.S. EVERYONE has a role to play in the grand walk-in)
Read the script, highlight the parts with your codename.
Read the script again to familiarise yourself with it.
Read the script once more to make sure you really know everything.
Don't forget to look at the LOGISTICS part!!!
Some of you have been assigned the roles to bring/borrow some logistics stuff, so do check it out.

Make sure you know it roughly before you come on Monday.
cos Monday is our last practice session for this. Then we have to show it to SC. Then we have to show it to the freshmen.
So, to avoid the wastage of time, it'll be really appreciated if you look at the document as serious as when you're reading a comprehension passage.

More Important Facts

Attire for the walk-in is changed to:
BLACK TEE + BLACK TRACK PANTS/LONG PANTS.
'cos don't you think it's abit weird wearing the black tee with vj shorts?
Hmm, I don't know, the attire, is nevertheless, still open for discussion.

Hello, since i'm kinda free now and noted down important stuff from the briefing the other day, i shall be nice and list them down here for your reference (:

#1 - Each Sub OG should have 3 1.5L bottles at all times.

#2 - Proper footwear at all times, dont walk barefooted.

#3 - Black shorts only.

#4 - Mass Dance at suntec is on 6th feb. All Sub-ogs must bring their own
thrash bags.

#5 - When calling freshmen on Sat/Sun night, inform them about

1. time/venue/attire (sec sch uniform)
2. tell them to pack light, bring water bottle, money for lunch/sch
uniform/PE attire/OPACs (22bucks)
3. OG and subOG name

#6 - Collate PE shirt sizes on Day 1 as subOG for freshmen. 2 OGs per day to
purchase school uniform.

#7 - Attire for OGLs,

Hi everyone!

Me (Steph), Chrystal and Sofia have sort of decided the identity (Preliminary Idea- haha. not pw) for our OG!
That will be SHADES and purple whistles (TBC) for the OGLs and just purple whistles (TBC) for the freshmen!
The shades are from DAISO. So as you can guessed it, it's 2 bucks each. We think that the shades suit our OG head's image... We can wear the shades above our heads or get a string and just hang it around our neck!
But the shades aren't purple. Silver. We are thinking of adding some purple touch to it... perhaps by painting it or attaching some purple thing to it. Any ideas?

THE NEXT ALLORIX MEETING!

Hey guys, guess you've heard from Aloysius on the post below. We NEED to have a meeting next week. I am thinking either Tuesday (20/1) or Thursday (22/1). Please do tell me when u guys are free as this involves everyone. We need to have as many people as possible!
Alright, this is roughly the agenda of our meeting.

1) GRAND WALK-IN

Walk-in I/Cs, you guys have to prepare the storyline and script by the next meeting. During the meeting, we will give some suggestions to add on to the skit to make it more lively and ensure that it involves everyone. I believe this is not a problem as our motorcycle skit during the OGL training has proven so (:

2) IDENTITY!

Ok, so far what I've heard from the identity I/Cs is that we are going to have either purple suspenders or round button badges as our group identity. OGLs please feel free to provide more suggestions to our I/Cs as this will be the object that will be on you for the whole of orientation.

Also, they have also proposed to have our own Allorix Tee-shirt! To make this interesting, how about we start a Allorix Tee Designing Competition! Everyone is encouraged to take part, just doodle some cool design (front and back) and we'll share it on the 28th Jan! Then the best design will be handed to the Identity I/Cs to be made! How bout it?

3) FIXING/IMPROVE/REMAKE OF ALLORIX SURFBOARD!

Ok, it is said that the surfboard is damaged and it needs to be "cardboarded" on both sides! So therefore we need to have:
1. Cardboard
2. Styrofoam (do we have leftovers from the last time?)
3. Silver Paint/Spray Paint

Allorix Station Masters

Greetings! The Orientation AD HOC needs 2 OGLS from each Sub-OG to be station masters during Orientation (i think). I have sent in the names already.

Some considerations taken were the Sub-OG I/Cs will not be down as station master as they will be most probably the one keeping track of attendance most of the time. The 2 OGLs left will be a male and a female. Last but not least, the station masters must not have more than one R-paper.

GRAND-WALK IN: COSTUME

Hello one & all.
As you all might know, we need materials to make the costume for ALLORIX

Current Plan;
- Purple and Silver Cape
- Gel
- Glitter
- Surfboard
- Black T-Shirt (Aloysius has)
- Black long pants (Aloysius has)
- Shades
- Belt with an A in the centre (Aloysius has)
- The big trolley thing to wheel Allorix in (take from any Uncle/Auntie in school)
- Big black cloth to cover the trolley (take unwanted, old banners)

So stuff that we need to get/prepare:
1. Purple & silver cape
- buy/get purple cloth & can attach/paste strips of aluminum foil on it to give it the shiny & metallic look

2. Black Shades
- i'm sure at least one of you have one, please contact any of the grand-walk-in I/Cs or Aloysius if you have:D

3. Glitter & Gel
Does anyone have that? It's to give the futuristic & metallic look.

4. Surfboard
- Buy purple Styrofoam & cut it to be in the shape of a surfboard.

okay finally the sub-og names are confirmed already. there shouldnt be anymore changes. the names are decided by all representatives of each sub-og today who are present. all names have been decided to start with 'Al' and hence, A2's ARGH have to be removed (i'm really sorry!). Since A6 has no representative, their name was chosen by everyone! :D Since time's quite tight to include in the banner, we cant seek everyone's approval. i'm very sorry once again!

STORY OF ALLORIX [here we go again]

A.D 3009, in the reclaimed kingdom of Victoria, there lived a boy genius named Jimmy Proton. As usual, Jimmy was working on his next masterpiece, a humanoid made out of a purplish-silver alloy that is totally impenetrable to anything.

Finally, after days and days of blood and sweat, Jimmy's hardwork had finally paid off. The humanoid was born and was named Allorix, which meant "Metallic Knight". As Jimmy was gleaming with pride from his success, he noticed something, something that was beyond his wildest imaginations. He saw that Allorix could actually able to interact with the metallic objects in his laboratary, allowing him to mould and use them in whatever way he likes. However, he soon realised that his powers were still unstable and weak. Nonetheless, he believed he had the potential, the power to change things. He just knew it.

Allorix soon became a part of the Proton family and under the love and caring teachings of Jimmy, Allorix had grown mentally from a naive newborn to a being with a kind-hearted and carefree soul. But Allorix was not satisfied being just a nobody. He dreamt big, for his ambition was to use his powers for the good of mankind, to rid all evil from the face of the galaxy.

With that dream in mind, Allorix tried fervently to master his powers. Though met with failures, Allorix never ever gave up and with that, he was finally able to control his powers. Using the leftover alloy that Jimmy used to create him, he created a surfboard,which allowed him to surf through great seas as well as the galaxy. From then on, Allorix began on his conquest to help people in the Reclaimed Kingdom of Victoria.

One fateful day, the villagers spotted a weird opening in the sky. Being the only one who could fly up to the skies, Allorix took the initiative to investigate. As he drew nearer to the opening, Allorix suddenly felt a great force that vacuumed him towards the unknown opening. His efforts to escape to futile and he went unconscious then after.

When he woke up, he found himself in a place so familiar, yet so stranger to him. As he walked in the streets of the unknown land, he saw someone pointing to the sky and screaming, "The curse has befallen! The curse has befallen!" He looked up and saw a sinister figure that was emerging from a similar opening that he had saw in his homeland. "It's Ananke! RUN!", he heard someone shout as he was still stunned from the pure evil that was radiating upon that figure. He then realised he was back in time for he had heard the tales of the evil Ananke that was passed down generations to generations back in his time.

He knew he had to do something. He just had to.

Soon he was acquainted with 7 other heroes who were too, drawn unknowingly into this madness.

But only ONE can defeat this imbecile.

Here are some things we need to take note of regarding the og banner:

1) We only have $50 to spend for all our materials for making og stuff (includes: banner paint, chalk, thinner, even the materials for our allorix costume)

3) Please pass ALL receipts to Stacy as soon as possible within ONE MONTH from date of purchase or else you will not get back your money anymore! Perhaps you guys can pass me your receipts and I can pass them all to Stacy since we are both councillors so it may be more convenient?

4) We are strongly recommended to buy as much materials as we can from the school bookshops.

5) While painting our og banner, please adhere to all the banner painting rules. In case you don't know them here are some of the basic rules:

- only paint at the banner painting area (behind t- block classrooms)
- always paint on the blue tarp or layout a mass of newspapers so as not to stain the area with our paint
- DO NOT wash paintbrushes or our painty hands in any toilets as they will stain the sinks.
-Wash everything at the taps along the wall at the side of the t- block girls toilet.
- DO NOT vandalise the area by painting random words on the floor especially our og name as the school admin will hunt us down.

Ok i think that is about it. We should try to share paint and other materials with other ogs as the budget is quite tight. Also, the black cloth is with me.

STORY OF ALLORIX [SEH BUT REJECTED VERSION]

(A.D 3009) In The Kingdom of Victoria, an ominous bank of dark clouds hung over the small land, casting a shadow across the barren land filled with the ruins of a place which was once filled with life but now, looked so desolate. Panic and fear filled the hearts of people as they were made into slaves, threatened every single day by the minions of the evil Anake, who asurped the kingdom centuries ago.

In a small hut just at the outskirts of the kingdom, undaunted from the threats of Anake, there lived a warrior who was determined to rewrite the fate that was bestowed upon their kingdom a millennium ago. No way was he ever going to let Anake ruin the lives of the peasants that deserved so much more than his constant tyranny.

His name was Allorix.

Deep down in his underground laboratory, Allorix worked endlessly, night after night, planning his conquest to rescue Victoria from the clutches of the evil Anake. He was a humanoid metallic cyborg composed of a rare isolated isotope, Titanium-44, the strongest metal in the galaxy. Armed with the ability to influence metals into a constant state of flux, Allorix is not only able to infuse molecules and split atoms but also, possess the power to ionise his surroundings into metals.

Allorix is never seen without his AlloBoard. The AlloBoard is a teleportation device, able to undergo metamorphosis and allow the rider to journey through the space-time continuum to the past, present or future. Besides that, when in possession, The AlloBoard amplifies Allorix's ability to decompose elements and regenerate metallic alloys. This gives him a wide arsenal of attack globule and the ability to manipulate metallic elements into formidable structures. It is also a versatile defensive unit which enables Allorix to reflect incoming fire and projectiles, giving him a wide berth of protection.

As Allorix boarded his AlloBoard, he took a final look at the kingdom and swore he would return someday, victorious. With the passing of a millennium, he travelled back to The Year of 2009, the time when Anake striked.

When Allorix first arrived, the villagers were full of fear and suspicion of his physique and his seemingly impossible powers. They rallied against him, baying for his blood, but he had none, for only mercury coursed through his veins.

However, using his metallic psychic powers, he showed a vision and explained about the doom and destruction that would befall The Reclaimed Land. The villagers finally understood his cause and they formed an army of Allorixians, for they saw him as their ultimate savior, the only true warrior that could withstand the test of time to prove his METTLE.

Very soon, The Council of Eight was formed. The very best of The Reclaimed Land - ____, ____, ____, ____, ____, ____, ____, ____, hand chosen by Allorix himself. The Eight who have sworn to fight this war till the very end. Allorix imparted his wisdom to these fine men and women and taught them warcries so loud, that even Anake himself would cower in fear. Most importantly, Allorix blessed them with The Heart of Steel, the compassion to fight for the greater good and the camaraderie for excellence and loyalty to each other.

This is their finest hour.

The Battle for The Reclaimed Land has dawned.
The time has come for Allorix to put a twist to this chapter of Victoria.
Change has come to Victoria.

It'll probably be like:

Administrative Board (Do admin stuff and organise meetings and stuff)

Songs and Cheers Board ( I dunno abt this cos this would be practically everyone)

Each board would have a in-charge and assistant and of cos their members

INTRODUCTION OF ALLORIX

Allorix is a humanoid cyborg organism from the future, metal over living tissue.
His colour combination can be seen to be of a silvery purple shade.
He can be considered to be a Terminator from 'The Terminator' series in combination with The Silver Surfer from MARVEL.
His mission is to travel back in time to save The Reclaimed Land and to terminate Anake completely.
The metallic built is a rare isolated isotope of an alloy of Titanium-44, the strongest metal in the galaxy.
The very same isotope of Titanium-44 is used in his primary gadget - The Surfboard.
The Surfboard is a teleporting device, able to undergo metamorphosis and alter the space-time continuum so as to transport him to the past, present or future immediately.
The Surfboard is also a versatile defensive unit, able to reflect incoming fire and projectiles, giving him a wide berth of protection.
The Surfboard is Allorix's primary weapon. In possession of it, he is able to decompose elements and regenerate metallic alloys which gives him a wide arsenal of attack globules and the ability to manipulate metallic elements into formidable structures.

Once upon a time, in the land of reclaimed land, there came a visitor from far far away. He came in a comet, crashing through the reclaimed land and disrupting reclamation efforts. The reclaimers rallied against him, baying for blood but he had none for only mercury coursed through his veins.

He was a man on a mission. Using his powerful metallic manipulations he painted a picture of the doom and destruction that would befall the land of reclaimed land and soon the reclaimers rallied around him, for they saw him as their ultimate savior, the only true warrior that could withstand the test of time to prove his METTLE.

Armed with the ability to mould any metal into different shapes, sizes and phases, Allorix is not only able to infuse different metals to form the strongest alloys ever, he is also the face of the sturdiest metal.
